Greg- Our beef isn't just that your "religion" bought out the building. It's that they caused the establishments in that building to leave. These were wonderful, independently-run restaurants. It's been over six months, and the Italian restaurant hasn't re-opened anywhere. And also, it's because now they have a headquarters at a prime location full of tourists, who don't want to be bothered while they're shopping.

Unsurprisingly, a few months after this incident I went to Old Town, and sure enough your people were camped out on the sidewalk giving out "free stress tests", which were clearly nothing more than a way to trick people into sitting down and listening to someone give a speech about L. Ron Hubbard or whoever.

Amrita- Travolta isn't cute enough anymore for anyone's image :D

Its so sad to see how desperate people can get to find a spiritual spark in themselves. Its like that guy on Dawn's site who thought it reasonable to "invest" a college tuition's worth of money to find spirituality. If you have to pay for your soul, then how much is it worth really?

The TC poster thing is hilarious. I think Travolta isnt cute enough for their image. :)

People, if all your beef with my religion is that we buy buildings, then why don't you go be mad at Starbucks, for pete's sake?

Did you know, by the way, that the Church of Scientology has won a bunch of awards for the painstaking restoration work they do to all the all buildings purchased?

And, if you want to learn what Scientology is about, just go to http://www.liveandgrow.org - or go to your local library and pick up a book (book, remember what those are?)

Can't find anything concrete my a&&. I have 200 links of Scientology articles on my website, all of which i found through easy Google searches. Mustn't be looking very hard, that guy.

Ariel- I can only imagine his wanting to go to the parade. Hell, T and I brought our lightsabers! Yes, we are nerds. Unfortunately, I don't think there'll be any more Star Wars movies, but there's always video games, books, and cartoons! :)

Oh BTW, check out this <a href="http://www.noface4film.com/star-wars-procession-at-the-2007-rose-parade-videos/" rel="nofollow">link</a> for my Star Wars Rose Parade videos.

One more thing. About your pictures... I'm totally showing those to Ethan and the funny thing is that he would have TOTALLY noticed that Anakin was too old to be fighting Darth Maul. Good point. Nice Catch. Hope you'll get to see Ethan again. He's got five light sabers now and he's saving for the R2D2 from Sharper Image. He's almost got the $120 it will take to bring it home.

Do you know how BADLY Ethan wanted to be at the rose parade this year? His hero is George Lucas! He's super excited to go on Star Tours and go to the Young Jedi Training Show at Disneyland. Ethan wants to be an actor so he can be in Star Wars when he grows up. Do you think there will be any more? :)

Jemu- wow, I'm glad that you found this article. Thanks for letting me know what happened to Mandarin Deli. I'm sorry to hear that your family wasn't making money anymore at the Chinatown location. Yes, we will visit the other Mandarin Deli locations. I wish your family luck in maintaining the rest of the branches.

Wow touching article. Well at least to me. I'm actually the second generation of the owners of the Mandarin Deli restuarants. I was bored and decided to type in Mandarin Deli in Google. I found a few sites that had comments all over about how people were surprised that Chinatown closed. It really is unfortunate. The main reason this place closed was because we were no longer making any money. Still, I wish my aunts, uncles, mom, grandmother would have put a sign to thank people for the years and years of service (I actually haven't seen the place since it has been torn down so maybe they do?) Well please go to the other MD's since they are the same cooks and the head waitresses are still the same (cooks=uncles, head waitress=aunt/mom). Oh and the higher-ups are actually considering opening a new one somewhere so look forward to that.

The only time I buy a CD is when I want to go out of my way to support an artist. Otherwise, I pretty much stick with iTunes or some other digital avenue.

For me, the reason is simple: when was the last time an artist made an entire album that was good? Why should I get gouged $12-18 (depending on the retailer) for an album that has two (maybe three) good songs on it?

Paying iTunes 99¢ a pop or 88¢ at Wal-Mart for the handful of songs I want is so much better (and cheaper).
