Je Vais à Paris !

The title of this post translates to “I’m going to Paris!”
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
I’m traveling with my boyfriend and his family to The City of Lights in late spring. We’re staying at this lovely looking hotel that’s in between the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysees. How fucking cool is that??
I’ve never been to Paris, or anywhere in France. So far, the only place I’ve been in Europe is Italy, where I saw Rome, Venice, a bit of Florence, and Pompeii. I was in London for a spell, but only at Heathrow airport waiting for my connecting flight to Rome.
My parents and siblings went to Europe last year for the very first time. They did the tour thing and saw 4 countries in one week. I know what you’re thinking- why didn’t I go along with them? See, someone needed to stay behind to watch over my grandpa and to take care of our dog. Besides, I didn’t want to do the tour thing when I go to Europe. I don’t like feeling rushed and on a schedule, not to mention walking around with a group of strangers. Also, it was expensive enough for my parents, as it was. I didn’t mind. I knew that I’d get to Europe sometime soon. If my parents could wait 20 years, surely I could wait a couple myself.
I’m so excited! I’m not sure where to go! Of course I’ll check out the must-sees: Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, the Louvre, the Orsay, and Notre Dame. I’d also like to visit Versailles and dine at the Moulin Rouge. My family had dinner and a show in the Moulin Rouge and had a blast. My boyfriend just told me that his mom had arranged a private tour for us around the beaches of Normandy, which should be very educational and fascinating.
Have you guys been to France? Where do you recommend I should go in addition to the usual places?

Ah, bonjour!
Konnichiwa!
Moi aussi - je vais au paris en avril…
April in Paris… !!
Please, please do not leave Paris without visiting Montmarte… you have got to have some time to just relax and experience the city, breathe her in, stroll about - not like the American super tourist always rushing about to hit all the spots, and never actually experiencing the real city. Why don’t we meet, and I can tell you where to go (or better yet, show you!
As for me, I LOVE all things Nippon but have not yet been –! I have a friend there…
How long do you have in the City of Lights? Not long enough, I know! I hope to reloc there in
montmarte b/c it’s tres tres romantique, the most so of all Paris, it is everything beautiful about Paris - Sacre Coeur is the landmark, highest point in the city - and the views! so many perfect little cafes, and beautiful alleys to explore, the shops - lots of tourists there, but c’est pas grave - everyone will be so charmed & glad you went there
you might love la maison de la culture du japon - i think it is 7th arrondisement-? - not too far from la tour eiffel.
Hello Suzanne,
I’m sorry that your comments were blocked, but I’ve rescued them from my moderation bin
Thank you for telling me about Montmarte. I’ll have to read more about it in my guide book before leaving. Yes, I definitely want to spend a few days just relaxing and taking walks, soaking in the city. My boyfriend, his family, and I will be staying in France for about 10 days. I’m not sure yet if we’ll spend the whole time there, for we may go to Brussels during the last few days.
Thank you for offering to show me around!
But I think that my boyfriend would like to spend as much time with me as possible in one of the most romantic places in the world
