Crazy Mel Gibson
Published by Toni July 31st, 2006 in Uncategorized. So apparently, Mel Gibson has taken the same path as Tom Cruise into Career Suicide Town by not only getting arrested for a DUI, but for spewing a bunch of anti-Semetic remarks. Read the rest of the story here.
Real damn shame. I had liked Mel Gibson, especially when he did those Lethal Weapon movies. He was funny as hell in movies but also funny in real life. I remember an article for (I think) Vanity Fair several years back in which he interviewed himself, and it was some funny shit. But then he got all weird and religious. This isn’t to say that he found God just recently. Like Tom Cruise, Gibson was known to be rather religious, and like Tom Cruise he had been pretty low key about it, until he made The Passion of the Christ and started being all super Catholic and stuff.
There’s nothing wrong with being Catholic -hell, I’m one myself- but from what I’ve heard, old Mel has been saying some not-so-nice stuff against gay people and Jewish people, and now his DUI incident seems to reveal his true self.
Then again, South Park seems to have known for a while that Gibson was a little nutty…

He’s a major celebrity, I wonder how he could think his words would not leak into the press… He must have been really drunk!
Yeah. Too bad for Mel. If only he’d detonate a nail-bomb in a school bus. They we could “try to understand his motives” instead of just hating him for a bigoted remark.
