Israeli Anti-Semitic Cartoons?

As some of you may have heard, an Iranian newspaper has started a contest for the most offensive cartoon depictions of the Holocaust in response to the Muhammad cartoons. One may think that it would have been more appropriate to create anti-Danish cartoons. However, at the same time this isn’t at all surprising since the Jewish people (and Americans of course) are the group many in the Middle East just loves to hate.
In what I think is a brilliant move, a group of Israelis decided to get together and start their OWN contest for the most offensive, Anti-Semitic cartoons.
This contest is the brainchild of Israeli graphic artist Amitai Sandy, who wanted to do something in response to the crazy events following the publishing of the Muhammad cartoons.
“We’ll show the world we can do the best, sharpest, most offensive Jew hating cartoons ever published!†said Sandy. “No Iranian will beat us on our home turf!â€
Of course, this isn’t going to deter the Iranian newspaper from going through with their contest, but I think that it will decrease any impact it was supposed to have.
