Need Help With Creating a WordPress Theme
Published by Toni January 26th, 2006 in Uncategorized.Yeah, so I changed the links colors, and I like the cool Japanese header that I’ve put up on this theme. However, it’s still the same exact standard Kubrick theme that came with WordPress. I’m getting pretty bored with it.
I started making my own theme last summer but ran into several snags. I’ve tried on and off to work at it but I just can’t get it right and it drives me nuts. I was wondering if some kind soul would be willing to help me fix it up so I can finally start using it? I’d really appreciate it 
BTW, I’ll be out of town until Tuesday, so have a great early weekend everyone!

Much nicer. I like the header image. It really seems to make the blog much “warmer” than the bold red you were using before.
I was struggling during my blog redesign. I hate trying to pick a font/size for the main content. I like a smaller font, but I always worry that others will find it too hard to read.
Got any ideas on a good general pixel size?
Ronald- Thanks! It’s a woodblock print from the artist Hiroshige. I don’t know the name though.
Claus- Thanks too! The reason I used the red was because for a really long time I was using the standard Kubrick theme, which is what you see now plus a blue header. I got really bored with it and decided to use a totally different color.
As for pixel size on a font, I think that yours already looks ok to me. It’s nice and big, so it’s easy on the eyes, but not too big that it looks obnoxious. BTW, I notice you have a little Hokusai pic in your blog. Nice
I like Hokusai, but I kind of prefer Hiroshige’s style.

You have a point, Haisook. I guess I wanted a theme to call my own, but it’s just too difficult and takes up a lot of my time. Perhaps I shall use a premade theme. But for now, I’ll stick with this one since I like the header I put in.
